Description: Akili Walker knew he wanted to be a studio engineer at the age of nineteen. This revelation occurred when he walked into a jazz club and saw his friends using a mixing board to control sounds. He learned how to manipulate and create new sounds by hanging out with his peers in the jazz club. He was then asked to go on a tour with the musician Lonnie Liston.
