Description: Athena Varnava, was born and raised in Cyprus living with her father, mother, grandmother, and two siblings . While growing up she picked up some healing and culinary traditions native to her family and country. She immigrated to the United States when she was 19 to study accounting at Baruch College, in New York City. While in New York she met her future husband and had two children of her own. She goes into detail about the culinary and healing traditions that she learned as a child and still uses today.
