Description: Charles G. Covert House - (aka Underhill House) the house is to the left with the barns and farm on the right. The house was located south of Borden Avenue, across from the line of 55th Ave., on the west side of 58th Street (former Betts Ave., former Covert Ave.) 300 feet back from the road. Underhill married Maria Johnson of Maspeth; their son Charles G. Covert was born at the old homestead in 1826 and died in the new Covert House near the old homestead.
