Description: Daniel Rapelye House - The shingled house was on the south side of Poor Bowery Road, north of Jackson Ave. (now Northern Blvd.) at about 89th Street (former 32nd St.), now the SE corner 32nd Avenue and 89th Street. Daniel Rapelye (Rapalje) b. 1699 on Flushing Bay Farm settled here in 1752 on a farm owned by Dow Ditmars Rapelye and d. 1776; 1852 David D. Rapelye (Rapalje); 1891 D. Rapelye Estate. This photo was taken March 1923; the house was gone by May 1926.
