Description: The Daughters of the American Revolution aboard the Alvera, on the 4th of July. This photograph is probably taken July 4, 1926 (possibly earlier, but not later) by August C. Siebeneichen (ACS). The Siebeneichen family would traditionally spend the 4th of July at the boathouse- Meadow Camp at Hook Creek. The year 1926 was their last summer at Meadow Camp at Hook Creek as ACS passed away in 1927. August C. Siebeneichen is the great- great grandfather of the collector, Pamela Griffin Hansen (DAR Ketawamoke Chapter, Huntington, NY).
