David Kass, Clip 2: Favorite NY Places
Collection: This recording is part of the StoryCorps Collection at The Archives at Queens Library and is available in digital audio.
Description: David Kass talks about his favorite places as a child, such as the Queensboro Bridge, which he wasn't allowed to cross. He also went to the Bronx Zoo almost every week because his parents grew up in the Bronx. He also frequented Sagamore Hill in Long Island, the home of Teddy Roosevelt. David's family went to Rockaway Amusement Park more often than Coney Island, where he and his sister flipped coins onto dots on a big board, which would win them a prize.
