Description: A mother and her two children take in the destruction on Rockaway Beach Boulevard following Hurricane Sandy. This photo is by EMT, Odelmo Paltooram, who worked alongside National Guardsmen and other first responders in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. This was Odelmo's view from the Guardsmen's vehicle on the ride between sites where they provided help to residents.
