Description: A woman is seen stepping off trolley car number 501, at right, as a horse-drawn carriage passes on the other side of the road, in front of a building on a road in Halesite (a hamlet in the town of Huntington.) The Long Island Rail Road acquired control of Huntington Railroad on March 5, 1898, and transformed it into an electric trolley on June 17, 1898.
