Built by Samuel Blackwell 1826.; hand written on back of print: James Tisdale Mansion white Franklin Street opp Wardell Street Astoria The house was built by Samuel Blackwell in 1826 + became known as 134 Franklin St In 1837 James Tisdale came to Astoria He was born 1813 at Taunton Mass he married Margaret A Blackwell, daughter of Samuel Blackwell He died in 1880 the son of James Tisdale, Robert B Tisdale married Emily, daughter of Stephen A Halsey. He occupied the house in 1896. Another source says C Wardell was Res 1840 J Tisdale House 1873 Long Island City 1922
