Description: Mr. Vilensky talks about Woodside in the 1940's. He remembers there used to be 4 Jewish centers and 3 movie houses. The area across from him was mostly forests. The neighborhood was mostly Jewish, Italian, and Irish. Mr. Vilensky says people used to be able to walk around at night, and walked to go shopping.
