Description: Margaret came to the United States with her uncle when she was 19. She saved her money and was the first leave home. She met other immigrants on the ship and kept in touch with them. A year later, her uncle went back to Dublin to claim Margaret's boyfriend, Tommy Berry. Margaret had a one-room apartment on Greenpoint Avenue, and her boyfriend stayed with Margaret's cousin on 48th Street in Woodside. They were engaged at Christmas and married at St. Therese's in Woodside.
