Description: Annalou Christensen (top left) poses with her family in the empty lot where their neighborhood's first apartment building would later be built. Their Cherry Avenue home is just out of frame to the left of this image. The family sits on the severed stump of a tree that had just been cleared along with the rest of the lot to make way for the new construction. Annalou would go on to live in the apartment building with her future husband, Wayne Christensen. The note on the back of the photo, "kewpie," was Annalou's nickname from childhood.
