Description: Mott Family Cemetery - Close-up of walled Furman and Mott Family Burial Grounds at 56th St. about 200 feet north of Maspeth Avenue. The burial ground contained 13 headstones and footstones, bodies from this family plot were disinterred by court order on January 10, 1950, and reinterred in Prospect Park Cemetery, Brooklyn. The nearby Judge Garritt Furman/Way Family house had already been torn down when this photo was taken in 1929.
