Description: Meakim House - (aka Milkman House) The location was on the south side of Borden Avenue (aka Newtown Ave., now under Queens Midtown Expressway), between 48th and 50th Streets; this area was known as Berlinville in the late 19th Century. It was occupied by the Young family in 1873, ruins of the house were standing in March 1927, and were gone by May 1928; this photograph was taken in March 1923.
