Description: Metropolitan Avenue - looking east along Metropolitan Ave. from a point Just west of Forest Ave. The frame house on the SE corner was built in 1840, in 1853 Herman Ringe opened a general store in the building and he was running it in 1875. The single story structure just to the east (left) is the Ringe Real Estate Office, and just east of that is the Metropolitan Engine Co. No. 12 Fire House. The Ringe's later demolished the old buildings and built a modern brick structure.
