Description: Rapelye-Purdy House - The house was located on the east side of Old Bowery Bay Road (now Hobart Street), south of 30th Avenue, between the lines of 54th and 55th Street. The Rapelye-Purdy House survived until the early 1930’s when it was razed to build the massive Boulevard Gardens municipal housing complex replacing the homesteads and truck farms that occupied the site until then.
