Description: According to Mr. Graziano, the Waldheim neighborhood was one of the first subdivisions in the United States. It was a product of the City Beautiful movement, which began after the Civil War and continued into the 1930's. Waldheim was developed from the land originally owned by the Sanford family. Mr. Graziano also describes the Sanford Hall asylum that occupied the balance of the Sanford estate.
