Description: Mr. Graziano relates that up through WWII, Flushing consisted of estates. After the war, he describes large-scale block-busting with developers buying rows of Victorian houses in the interior blocks east of Waldheim and letting them fall into disrepair in order to drive out remaining residents. These places were abandoned, but still remained intact into the 1960's-70's.
