Description: Peter Debevoise House – Located on the west side Cypress Hills Street ("old" Fresh Pond Road), between Central Avenue and 64th Place the house was torn down in early 1923. John Debevoise (b. 1750 in Bushwick) came here prior to 1798 and died here in 1829, he was the son of Carel Debevoise (b. Brooklyn 1704, D. Bushwick 1777. The house belonged to Peter Debevoise in 1860, 1873; there were several Debevoise farms and houses in Glendale and Ridgewood.
