Description: After a fire destroyed the original Queens County Courthouse in 1904, this building was reconstructed in the same year. This photograph depicts the Court House and it's jail (in the background) as it was seen in 1910. The Queens County Courthouse was home to the Ruth Snyder and Henry Judd Gray case in 1927. Snyder was found guilty of the murder of her husband and was the first woman to die by electric chair. The Courthouse was also used to film a trial scene from Alfred Hitchcocks "Wrong Man".
