Description: Robert Sullivan reported to work at a Brass Rail food stand at the World's Fair that serviced the construction workers. He had never worked in a restaurant before, but caught on quickly. Once the Fair opened, he was assigned to a burger station near the Austrian pavilion. He volunteered to cook the hamburgers and the shift required no cleaning, which he liked. While he worked, he learned his first Spanish words at the Fair (papas fritas) because nobody could communicate with the Spanish costumers.
