Description: Beach scene, at Riis Park. Riis Park was named for social reform journalist Jacob Riis, who advocated for the creation of the park. The original Art Deco bathhouse opened in 1932, but Robert Moses began a series of changes and additions in 1934, and by 1937 it was quite different from the original design.; Address, postmark, stamp and inscription on verso. Text addressed to Flora A. Hall, reads: Dear Paurie, We are having a grand time here at this beach today. Bruce and Lus are giving us a beautiful time - have been on the go every minute. The water is slick here. Hope you are well. Remember me to all, Love Alice ...
