Description: Bob Trabold (center, in blue overcoat) speaking at a protest demonstration held at Goethals Ave. and 160th Street in Jamaica. They were protesting the construction of a proposed high school at that site. According to Trabold, "people were angry because the area already had too many schools and the hospital, Queens Hospital Center. As a result, the neighborhood was already too crowded." The group objected to the construction due to traffic congestion and a potentially contaminated building site. At Trabold's left (in brown jacket) is New York State Senator Frank Padavan, and to his right (with patterned tie) is local historian Jeff Gottlieb.
