Wyckoff Family Miscellaneous Papers

Identifier: aql:15961

Description: Essentially, it would seem that the collection deals with two members of the family both named Peter Wyckoff and apparently father and son. The surtitle “Jr.” appears on some documents, and by examining the chronology of the documents we have an idea which were produced by "Jr.” and which by the father. Judging by some notations of a few of the documents, the family lived or moved to Mattituck, though by and large, most items apparently were produced in Brooklyn. Adding to the complications of identification is the fact that though this is a fragmentary collection, the dates of the materials range from about 1784-1898.
