Description: Yang Yi is a Flushing based visual artist who came to the United States from China in 1995. Following the 9/11 attacks he started to create portraits of those who lost their lives during the attacks. His efforts later expanded to include a large pentaptych that depicts all 343 faces of the first responders who were killed during the attacks. This large pentaptych was finally displayed as part of a solo exhibition. The event was curated by the Asian American Arts Centre and was hosted by Chinatown Soup. The backside of the flier depicts smaller versions of each pentaptych panel and includes the names of each person represented in each panel.
