Historical/Biographical Note
The Archives at Queens Library obtained a small amount of information on William Decker from his Papers. His profession in unknown; however he did administer people’s estates from his office in Springfield Gardens, New York. William Decker used Robert McIlvaine Notary Public, Real Estate and Insurance, to administer the properties including rent collection, repairs and up keep.
The only information the Archives at Queens Library has on Franklin Coles is that he owned property in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Charles Conselyea was a relative of the Conselyeas of Brooklyn. The Family owned a farm in Williamsburg. Sometime in the Nineteenth Century they developed this land. In the early Twentieth Century the land owned by Charles Conselyea was administered by William Decker because Charles was labeled an “incompetent.” The Archives at Queens Library does not have any more information on Charles Conselyea.
