Historical/Biographical Note

The Northridge Housing Development located in Jackson Heights was opened in early 1952 and was one of the earliest cooperative housing projects in the country. In January 1951 just when construction was starting, the development began printing a four page publication titled Northridge Mews. This collection contains some of these early issues, and these will give a good capsule history.
