Scope and Content Note
The items described in this addendum were added to the collection in April 1978. They were removed from our Vertical File, and do not number much in quantity.
Included is a small notebook (ca.2½ x5½”) in which Armbruster made very brief notations regarding what he had photographed on a particular day in the year 1919. Entries really are extremely brief and boil down to a mere listing. Also included are several manuscript pages of research notes regarding Alley Pond. These are written on very fragile paper, but practically all of the ca. 20 sheets were typed, in all probability by a staff member of the Archives at Queens Library, and in all probability sometime in the early or mid 1960s.
Also included herein, is a number index to photos of Newtown Landmark Houses consisting of about a dozen pages. These sheets are in slightly better shape than the previously mentioned notes, and with it is found a biographic sketch of Mr. Armbruster written by Mr. Vincent Seyfried.
Another folder contains about 20-30 pages of some genealogical notes, while the last some 20-30 pages of notes on Flushing, for the most part. Most of these notes were written on the pages of note paper bearing the term “History Map No.”, but this term, as far as can be determined, has no relevancy to the notes.
