Description: A view looking west on Main Street at Ocean Avenue, the Four Corners intersection, during a carnival. The distinctive building with the tower on the northwest corner is Swezey's Department Store on West Main Street, which opened in 1894 and closed in 2003. That building was demolished in 2012. In the middle of the street, to the left of the horse-drawn carriage, two men are seen setting up a camera on a tripod. On the south side of West Main Street, left, is the Central Hotel. Another hotel, the Bartlett House, is seen at right, immediately west of Swezey's.; handwritten on reverse of glass plate: MAIN ST. / MAIN ST. PATCHOGUE N.Y.
