Description: Corner house. Built by Jonathan Fish in 1700. After the American Revolution it became the Union Hotel. The house was demolished in 1917.; Hand written on back of print: "known as the Corner house" stood on south side of Queens Blvd near the corner of Grand Street. House was erected by Jonathan Fish about 1716 + opened as a tavern. Abraham Rapelye was gost during the Revolutionary War. was headquarters of the Loyalists. After war was Union Hotel. On May 3, 1817 tavern was purchased for a Presbyterian parsonage + was sold in 1822 when the 3rd parsonage was completed. Thereafter used as a store + later as a dwelling for many years.
