No effort has been made to segregate the types of papers to any great extent, so both are interfiled with each other. The arrangement is basically a chronological one, for the most part on a yearly basis, in some instances, on a two or three year basis. The range is from the mid 19th century to 1938 the very earliest years being rather fragmentary and referring for the most part to other members of the Hardenbrook family. In some instances dates have been approximated.
