Description: Intersection of Queens Boulevard and 55th Avenue. Photo submitted by Janet A. Newton for the "Queens Scene Photo Contest." It depicts the urban development of Elmhurst, Queens. The visible house in front of the Queens Place Mall was the only remaining house on the block. It was owned by Mary Sendek. There is a Macy's store and a First National City Bank behind that house.
