Description: Natalie Mansbach has both positive and negative memories of the 1964 World's Fair. She describes the experience of taking her first middle school class from Brooklyn to the Fair. At the end of the day, Ms. Mansbach did her student head-count only to find one student missing. She panicked about what to do and worried she would lose her job over it. They searched for the student, who they later learned had caught the train home without telling anyone. Her positive memories include her first taste of Belgian waffles at the Fair.
