Description: Jon and Georgina are both Caucasian American, originally from LA. They lived in New Mexico before coming to Astoria. Jon is a screenwriter and web designer, Georgina a writer and English teacher. They talk about how graffiti-tagging had become a problem along Welling Court, then Jon had the idea for a mural project on the neighborhood's walls. Ad Hoc Art became involved and invited artists from all around the world to take part. The mural-painting is combined with an annual block party. The community is predominantly Mexican – the fiesta for the virgin of Guadalupe is also a big party each year.
