Description: Pauline Mimms Interview Part 2: Pauline "Puppet" Mimms (Paulette Mims in Russell Simmons Biography) was a childhood friend of Russell Simmons and along with Kurtis Blow was a founding member of Rush Productions. She went on to produce "Kickin' It Live." television from 1990 to 1995. Currently she runs HIP HYPE TV, a black performing arts channel. In this interview she discusses growing up in Queens, working and producing shows in the early days of hip-hop, going to clubs all over the city including Paradise Garage and Studio 54. She also discusses the current state of Hip-hop.
