Description: Don Capalbi, an Italian-American, is a longtime resident of Flushing, Queens. As the only child of an Italian immigrant mother and a father born in Indiana, Capalbi grew up in Astoria and was raised mainly by his mother. This interview concerns Capalbi's early life, career, and his interests in religion, philosophy, politics, restaurants, travel, and society. Capalbi heads the Queensboro Hill Civic Association and has served as a community liaison for Assemblywoman Grace Meng.
