Description: Mary Kaiser describes how she corresponded with her husband Phillip before they met in person. During WWII he was stationed in the South Pacific in the Navy. He grew up in College Point next door to Mary's friend, and she recalls seeing him play roller hockey on the street. Her friend suggested writing to Phillip, and she did even though she did not know him. They later married when he returned.
