Description: The Sri Ganesa Chaturthi festival takes place September 3, for 9 days in honor of the Hindu god Ganesh. On the last day, a metal alter for Ganesh is decorated and placed on top of a chariot. The chariot is led from the temple around the neighborhood, and up Main Street.
