Description: One day while delivering newspapers for his father, Mr. Gorman decided to go try out for the baseball team. He went to over to Victory Field, but the practice was almost finished. The coach told him it was too late to try out, but Gorman convinced coach to let him try. He hit every ball thrown to him. He came back the next day for a practice, and watched Phil Rizzuto, pitch. Mr. Gorman hit a triple, and made the team.
