Description: Lisa Stewart describes walking to Kissena Park in the snow and going on a special trip with her mother, Nettie Stewart, each year. Mrs. Stewart would take her children and their friends from the building down to the park at the end of every school year. All the children who had been "promoted" to the next grade were invited. Lisa also notes that the Islanders hockey team practiced at the park.
