Description: Sri Ganesha Chaturthi is an annual nine-day celebration to honor Ganesh which takes place in September. Hundreds of devotees attend and there is singing, dancing, and music. Although the chariot is moved by a motor, the devotees hold on to ropes attached to it as though they are pulling it. During the procession, Indian business owners make offerings as the chariot passes.
