Description: Laverne White talks about eating healthy throughout her life. As a child, her family ate lots of fresh produce and she learned to cook from her mother. Later in life, she changed her cooking habits after her children left her home. She talks about being socialized to "clean her plate," and how that was a more valuable lesson when people struggled more to pay for food.
