Description: Jim Pignetti was invited by an art school classmate to "the corner" in 1967, a gathering spot for social life in Astoria at the corner of 21st Street and 34th Avenue. The Ravenswood Houses' handball courts provided plenty of space for people from the area to gather and socialize. He met his wife, Vicky, there as well as many other long-time friends.
