Description: Cyril talks about the programs he ran as a member of the Black Panthers, like the "Free Breakfast Program", and Panther projects like opening the Langston Hughes Community Library. How East Elmhurst was home to Malcolm X, and the Malcolm X Culture Center. He talks about growing up in East Elmhurst and being a part of "street organizations", and how they all ended up becoming friends and joined the Black Panther Party. He says that the fights were not as rough as they are today, there were no guns.
