Description: Benjamin Haber reads his short story entitled "The Lesson" about the valuable life lessons he learned from his mother's job as a garment worker making neckties. Besides her weekday work at a factory in lower Manhattan, Lena Haber would also do piecework at home on the evenings and weekends to increase the family's earnings.
