Description: An interview with Bernard Chessler on July 26th at 2:30 p.m. about his experience as a 10 year old at the 1939 New York World's Fair. He discusses his impression of food company exhibits such Wrigleys, Libbys, and Heinz; attending Billy Rose's Aquacade with his father; and his amazement at seeing television at the R.C.A. Pavilion. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980. Some transcripts may be incomplete or may not follow the interview verbatim.
