Description: Tricia Coglin recalls her childhood experiences visiting the 1939 New York World's Fair, including the General Motors Futurama Exhibit and Billy Rose's Aquacade. She remembers the lights being turned off on the Italian Pavilion after the escalation of World War II. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980.
