Description: In depth interview with World's Fair enthusiast and collector Bernard Rosenfeld, who attended the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair as a school child. He particularly enjoyed the St. Augustine's quote on the Medicine and Public Health Building, the Polish Pavilion, and the towering height of the Soviet Pavilion. He also discusses how the 1940 season was different from 1939, his hobby collecting World's Fair memorabilia, and subsequent Fairs he attended. Transcript from oral histories conducted under the direction of Warren Susman in conjunction with the "Dawn of A New Day" exhibition at the Queens Museum of Art in 1980.
