Description: This brochure was published in anticipation of the 1964 World's Fair and features data about the borough compiled by the Research Bureau of the Chamber of Commerce of Queens. It includes an introduction by Mario J. Cariello, the Queens Borough President at the time. The brochure summarized Queens' history and highlights the Flushing Remonstrance. Led by Quaker John Bowne, the Remonstrance was the first declaration of religious freedom in America.
