Description: Moore House - Also known as the Perry House. This view is the front of the house as seen from 45th Ave. just west of Broadway. Built on a 51/2 acre tract bounded by Broadway, Shell Road (later Laurel Hill Blvd., now 45th Ave.), and 80th St. The center section was built in 1666 by Capt. Samuel Moore, and the house was enlarged in 1710 by Benjamin Moore. The remainder was built 1760 by Lt. Samuel Moore. It was owned by the Perry family, descendants of the Moore's into the 1920's. The house was torn down in the 1930's during subway construction. It is the now Moore Homestead Playground in a smaller footprint.
